Title: Sr. Test Engineer
Job Description:
Develop appropriate test hardware (mechanical fixtures, electronics) software, procedures and methods to support engineering characterization and design validation testing. Ability to develop and execute test plans for a variety of components and sub-systems used in Skyline�s products. Maintaining and developing existing test stations and test plans. Work with contract manufacturing partners and test equipment suppliers to insure we execute our test strategy on schedule and within budget. Design and execute experiments or ad-hoc requests for characterization testing. Develop goals and metrics to measure test performance of efficacy.
Qualifications:
- BS EE/technical degree with at least 10 years in a hands-on Test Engineering role.
- 1yr programming in LabView and at least one other structured programming language (e.g, C, Python, C++, etc.)
- Experience developing automated testing in a production environment, including remote control and integration with database.
- Pragmatic approach to problem solving involving geographically dispersed teams.
- Good analytical skills in designing and executing experiments to isolate cause-and-effect relationships between failure symptoms and direct defects.
- Knowledge and experience with quality systems and methods of containment, corrective action, and preventive action (e.g., DMAIC, PDCA, IDEAL, etc.)
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including MS-Word and MS-Excel.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Hands-on action-oriented doer.
- Mechanical aptitude.
Highly desirable:
- Fluency with National Instruments Test Stand test sequencer
- Experience with Photo-Voltaic cells and systems
- Knowledge or experience with optical systems
- Circuit modeling skills (e.g., SPICE or equivalent)
- PC board layout skills
- Knowledge of Gage methods and statistical evaluation of manufacturing systems
- Solidworks application
