Nipton, California
This solar power plant was dedicated on June 11, 2010. It supplies over 85% of the electricity for the hamlet of Nipton. This makes Nipton the most solar-electric town in the United States on a per-capita basis.
Nipton is an hour south of Las Vegas and enjoys abundant sunshine throughout the year. Its desert climate is ideal for Skyline's technology. You are welcome to stop there (the town has a restaurant, hotel and store) to enjoy a solar-cooled beverage and see the Nipton solar plant.
San Jose, California
Skyline's first solar power plant was interconnected in May, 2009. It provides power to the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority in northern San Jose and is easily visible when driving on Highway 237 near Zanker Road.
Kailua-Kona, Hawaii
This installation takes Skyline products to new heights -- literally! It's elevated 15 feet above a parking lot. Only six of the fourteen arrays are visible in the photo.
Italy
Skyline recently installed a demonstration system in southern Italy. At our customer's request, additional information about the system is not being shared publicly at this time.
